What is SkinCoach?

SkinCoach is an AI-powered skincare companion. Take a selfie and get a cosmetic read of how your skin looks across areas like pores, hydration, redness, and under-eye, with the areas to focus on and tips for each. It describes how your skin looks; it does not give you or your skin a score. Based on your scan and skin profile, the app builds a personalized morning and evening routine with AI-recommended products, lets you check a single product or a whole shelf with the camera and see how well each one matches your skin profile, offers an AI skincare coach you can chat with, and includes a library of short skincare education courses.

Does SkinCoach diagnose skin conditions?

No. SkinCoach provides cosmetic skin insights for informational purposes only. It is not a medical device, and it does not diagnose, treat, or cure any skin condition. If you have any medical concern about your skin, please consult a qualified dermatologist.

How do the product recommendations work?

Our AI matches real, widely available skincare products to your scan results and skin profile, and explains why each one may suit you. Recommendations are generated by AI from public product and ingredient information; we are independent and unsponsored, and we never accept payment for placement. Each product shows a match percentage: our AI's estimate of how well it fits your skin profile, not a rating of the product or a measure of its safety. Product formulations change over time, so always check the label on the product you buy.

How much does SkinCoach cost?

SkinCoach is free to download and lets you try the core experience at no cost. Full access to your personalized plan and AI features is available through an optional subscription. We offer weekly and yearly plans, and pricing is displayed within the app at the time of purchase.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time through the App Store on your device. Go to Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions > SkinCoach > Cancel Subscription. You will continue to have access to premium features until the end of your current billing period.

What is your refund policy?

Subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store, and refunds are handled by Apple under their standard policies. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com or contact Apple Support. If you have any concerns, you can also email us at info@cognifyresearch.com and we will do our best to help.

Do I need to create an account?

No. SkinCoach does not require account registration. Your scan history, skin profile, routine, and favorites are stored locally on your device.

Is my data private and secure?

Absolutely. We take your privacy and security seriously. Photos you submit are processed securely to generate results, your data is encrypted in transit, and we follow GDPR and industry-standard security practices. We do not sell your personal data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Will my payment appear as SkinCoach on my statement?

Subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store. Your payment statement will show the charge from Apple, typically appearing as "APPLE.COM/BILL" or similar. The specific appearance may vary depending on your bank and local regulations.

Terms and Conditions of Use

These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of SkinCoach (the "App" or "Service"), including our mobile applications and related services. 1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the SkinCoach mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Cognify Research Teknoloji Yazılım ve Danışmanlık Ticaret Anonim Şirketi ("Company", "we", "us", or "our").

2. Description of Service

SkinCoach is a cosmetic skincare companion application that provides:

  • An AI-powered face scan that gives a cosmetic description of how your skin looks across areas such as pores, hydration, redness, and under-eye, with focus areas and tips; the App does not score you or your skin
  • A personalized morning and evening skincare routine with AI-recommended products matched to your scan and skin profile
  • A product scanner, for a single product or a whole shelf, that gives a cosmetic compatibility read of the skincare products you photograph
  • Product discovery, including filters and popular scans, with an estimated match between each product and your skin profile
  • An AI skincare coach you can chat with by text, voice, or photo about routines, ingredients, and habits
  • A library of short, structured skincare education courses
  • Optional routine reminders

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use this App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

4. No Account Required

The App does not require account registration. Your content, including scan history, skin profile answers, routine, chat history, and favorites, is stored locally on your device. If you delete the App, this locally stored content may be permanently lost.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

SkinCoach offers subscription-based access to premium features. By subscribing, you agree to the following:

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
  • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same rate
  • You can manage and cancel your subscription through your App Store account settings
  • Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription

6. Cosmetic Disclaimer, Not Medical Advice

Important: SkinCoach provides cosmetic skin insights for informational purposes only. The App is not a medical device. Its analyses, match estimates, tips, and recommendations do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and they cannot detect or assess any skin disease or medical condition.

Always consult a qualified dermatologist or other healthcare professional regarding any medical concern about your skin. Do not disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of information provided by this App.

If you notice a changing mole, a lesion that does not heal, or any other worrying skin change, see a doctor promptly.

7. AI Features and Product Recommendations Disclaimer

The App includes AI-powered features, including face analysis, product recommendations, product compatibility checks, and coach chat. These features generate content using artificial intelligence and, while designed to be helpful, may occasionally produce unexpected, incomplete, or imprecise results.

Product recommendations and ingredient information are generated by AI from public product and ingredient research. We are independent and unsponsored: we have no affiliation with the brands shown, and we never accept payment for recommending a product. Product formulations, availability, and pricing change over time, so always check the label and product information on the product you actually buy. If your skin is sensitive, patch-test new products and introduce them gradually.

Match percentages are AI estimates of how well a product fits the skin profile you gave us. They are not ratings of a product's quality, effectiveness, or safety, and they say nothing about the brand.

8. User Content and Conduct

You retain ownership of the content you submit to the App, including photos, voice recordings, and text. You represent that you have the right to submit any photos or recordings you provide, including the consent of any identifiable person appearing in them. You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Submit content that is harmful, offensive, or infringes the rights of others
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality, or attempt to bypass usage limits
  • Use the App to generate or distribute inappropriate content

9. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App, including but not limited to course content, illustrations, design elements, text, graphics, and software, are owned by or licensed to the Company and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content without our prior written consent. Third-party product and brand names shown in recommendations belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App, including any outcome of using a recommended product. Our total liability for any claims arising from use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App will cease immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall continue to apply.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated Terms within the App or by other means. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Istanbul, Turkey.

Privacy Policy

2. Information We Collect

SkinCoach does not require account registration, and we aim to keep data collection to the minimum needed to provide the App's features.

Your Consent to AI Processing

Before the App sends anything to our AI service provider, Google (Gemini), it asks for your permission on a dedicated screen. Nothing described below is sent until you agree. If you choose "Not now", the AI features stay off and the App asks again only when you open an AI feature. You can withdraw this consent at any time in the App under Settings > AI data sharing; once it is off, nothing more is sent. Withdrawing does not delete the scans, routine, and chat history already stored on your device.

Face Photos

When you take a face scan, the App sends your selfie to our AI service provider to generate a cosmetic analysis of how your skin looks. Photos are processed to produce the result and are not used to identify you. Your scan photos and results are stored locally on your device.

Product Photos

When you use the product scanner, photos of product labels are sent to our AI service provider to generate a compatibility read. Photos are processed to produce the result and are not used to identify you.

Skin Profile Answers

Your answers about skin type, concerns, goals, sensitivities, and habits are stored locally on your device and are included in AI requests to personalize your analysis, routine, and coach conversations.

Text and Voice Input

Messages you type in the coach chat are processed by our AI service provider to generate responses. If you attach a photo to a message, the photo is sent with it. If you use voice input, the recording is sent to our AI service provider only to transcribe it into the text of your message.

Locally Stored Data

Your scan history, analysis results, recommended routine, favorites, chat history (including photos you attached), course progress, and reminder settings are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.

Device and Technical Data

We automatically collect certain technical information, including device type, operating system version, app version, language settings, and in-app events such as screens viewed, onboarding steps completed, and purchases. We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the App is used, and the Meta (Facebook) SDK to measure our advertising, for example whether an install or a purchase came from one of our ads. These events do not include your photos, your messages, or your skin profile answers.

Advertising and Tracking

On first use, iOS asks whether you allow SkinCoach to track your activity across other companies' apps and websites (App Tracking Transparency). If you allow it, the Meta SDK may use your device's advertising identifier to attribute and improve our ad campaigns. If you do not, the advertising identifier is not available to the App or to these SDKs, and Meta receives the events without it. You can change your choice at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

Routine Reminders

If you turn on routine reminders, the App asks for permission to send notifications and schedules the reminders on your device. You can change the times or turn them off in the App under Settings.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

  • Generate your cosmetic skin analysis from your face photos
  • Build and refresh your personalized routine and product recommendations
  • Generate product compatibility reads, product match estimates, and coach chat responses
  • Send the routine reminders you turn on
  • Understand how the App is used and measure how our advertising performs
  • Process your subscription and manage premium access
  • Enforce fair usage limits on AI features
  • Improve and develop the App's features and content
  • Ensure the security and integrity of the App

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information with the following categories of service providers who assist us in operating the App:

  • Payment Processing: Apple (App Store payments) and RevenueCat (subscription status and purchase validation)
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Google Firebase (app integrity, configuration, and performance)
  • AI Services: Google (Gemini models) for powering face analysis, product recommendations, product scanning, and coach chat; your face and product photos, chat messages and photos, voice recordings, and skin profile answers are processed to generate results, only after you agree in the App
  • Analytics: Google Analytics for Firebase (in-app events and device information, used to improve the App)
  • Advertising Measurement: Meta Platforms (Facebook SDK): install, onboarding, checkout, and purchase events used to measure and improve our ads; the advertising identifier is included only if you allow tracking

All third-party service providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify.

5. Children's Privacy

SkinCoach is intended for adults aged 18 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a minor, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.

6. Data Retention and Security

Photos, messages, and voice input are processed to generate results and are not retained by us beyond what is needed to provide the service. Content stored locally on your device remains under your control and is removed when you delete the App.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS), app integrity checks, and regular security assessments.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal data
  • Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data
  • Portability: Request a machine-readable copy of your data
  • Restriction: Request restriction of processing
  • Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Withdrawal of Consent: Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent, including your consent to AI processing, which you can turn off in the App under Settings > AI data sharing

8. International Data Transfers

Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. Where we transfer data outside of Turkey or the European Economic Area, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions, to protect your personal data.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy within the App or by other appropriate means. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.

Subscription Policy

Available Plans

SkinCoach offers the following subscription plans for access to premium features:

  • Weekly Plan: Access to all premium features, billed weekly
  • Yearly Plan: Access to all premium features, billed annually at a discounted rate

From time to time we may also present special discounted offers within the App. Current pricing is displayed within the App at the time of purchase. All prices include applicable taxes.

Auto-Renewal

All subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Your Apple ID account will be charged for the renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same subscription rate.

How to Cancel

You can cancel your subscription at any time by following these steps:

  • Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad
  • Tap your Apple ID at the top
  • Tap Subscriptions
  • Select SkinCoach
  • Tap Cancel Subscription

After cancellation, you will continue to have access to premium features until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused portions of a billing period.

Free Trials

If a free trial is offered, it will be clearly indicated at the time of signup. Any unused portion of the free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription. You may only use one free trial per Apple ID.
